It was always nice to walk home from school. The freedom to meander was invigorating. Just talking and goofing off, the way they always had. It was fun to walk with your best friend and relax. On the way home, they turned down an unfamiliar road. Because it was a bright and sunny day, they decided to to explore this curious route. Kicking up rocks along the faded path, chasing back and forth. The excitement of the crisp autumn day was very distracting. Soon, they looked back and couldn't see the road home. No bother, it was early yet and the path ahead looked promising.

Suddenly, the wind kicked up, leaves swirled around them in miniature tornadoes. The sky darkened, hail pelted them. Quickly, around this corner. Ah, shelter. An old factory awaited. They hurried inside.
