March 17 is a day when we honor a Saint. Why this date? No one is really certain. There is not much truly known about Saint SpottyDoodle.

I hope to share with you the legends that have been uncovered about this magical being. I offer as proof age-old documents from artisians of her time. The story holds that Saint SpottyDoodle was born in the year 400 AD. She was given the name "Raccoon Flasher" which means 'lively spirit with unique qualities, including the adoration of woodland creatures'. A skilled artist was fortunate enough to capture the likeness of Saint SpottyDoodle on canvas.

SpottyDoodle was born in the land of Eldood, which village is not documented. But a map was found with a mysterious X, said to mark the revered spot. Some claim this land is now beneath the ocean. Some stories say it was shallowed by an earthquake.

The story goes that as Racoon Flasher grew, she proved to be an unusual person. There were many who were jealous of her intelligence. Some chose to ignore her talents, even to wrongly spout untruths in ignorance. At an unknown age, she was Christened with the name SpottyDoodle which means 'devotion to all that is true and thoughtful'. SpottyDoodle took to wandering the world. Her purpose in life was to bring understanding and hope to all in the areas of the mysterious HTML.

It is written that SpottyDoodle converted hundreds, possibly thousands, to true believers. She unabashedly shared her knowledge and talents. No one who was truly in need was turned away from her door. At some point she established a place known as SpottyDoodle's Spot to bring comfort to those she encountered. From hither to yon, she answered questions, she offered her 'resources', she made wonderful artwork for those less capable.

Thus, for all her efforts, she was knighted as a CL in the land of promotionus. This was a great honor she richly deserved. It enabled her to reach out to more lost souls. No matter the need, SpottyDoodle was there; to educate, comfort and uplift. She protected the residents from many monsters; spamosaurus, scam pillagers, ignorami, doorway lice, metatag ghouls. She eagerly drove these monsters into the sea. It is believed she had completely vanquished them from Eldood before she left on her travels.

There is a tale told that Saint SpottyDoodle had a magical stone. This Chockie Stone would bring luck to all who kissed it. The gift of HTML knowledge would be bestowed upon them. No one has seen it in a very long time. Legend has it, the stone was hidden to keep evil from capturing it. To guide us in out hunt for this ellusive treasure, a great artist rendered an image for us.

Behold the magical Chockie Stone of Saint Spottydoodle. There is no explanation for why part of the stone is gone. Some surmise SpottyDoodle took a part of it to keep with her at all times. Others believe the evil Beli Monster attempted to steal the stone for herself and escaped with only a small portion.

Wherever Spottydoodle would go, fields of green would pop up. It is said she brought good luck to all with these blossoms. They were unlike any other known plant-life. The legend holds that they had seven leaves, because SpottyDoodle offered guidance every day of the week. These became known as Shammyrocks. It is very rare to find them.

After many years of traversing the land, SpottyDoodle found a quiet nook to settle down in. Some claim it was called the Village of I. She continued to teach and guide all who sought her out. They proved to be numerous. These eager students found many means to communicate with SpottyDoodle. Tales of electric horses delivering mail, instantaneous messengers who approached saying "uh-oh" in an odd language, posting notices on mysterious boardus trees, gatherings in chatteron rooms.

Due to all the hard work SpottyDoodle accomplished, her students and peers elected her to a higher status. She became Saint SpottyDoodle. This was an illustrious achievement as no other had been given this title while still among the living. It is told that Saint SpottyDoodle is such a truly amazing being that her spirit shall live on forever. Even still, SpottyDoodle is so humble she insists she is but a mere mortal and deserves no praise. Those she guides and teaches would argue that forever.

Typical ways to celebrate this day include the coding of pages, the running of the scandisk, and breaking open the scammer pinata. Saint SpottyDoodle Day meals are comprised of chocolate, hot tea and tamales. A delicacy of Fried Spammer Tail is enjoyed by truly zealous celebrants. Children born on this day are said to have one light blue spot behind their left ear and possess extreme HTML knowledge. To honor Saint SpottyDoodle, these children are often named Raccoon Flasher, Shammy Head, Spotty Doodle and Murphy CPU. Some chose to seek out the Chockie Stone or hunt for Shammyrocks. It is told that some females seek out a unique creature called the Hunkus Maleus; one pinch to the hind section of this being brings good luck and immense joy.
